The exhibition will be at State Gallery of Art from July 6-14, 2024 and will include many activities.

  • 24HourProject Past Editions (Open to participants of 24HourProject from 2012 to 2023).
  • Women’s Empowerment – Photos of women in various situations where they are depicted as strong, resilient, confident, and empowered individuals. (Open to all photographers in general).
 

FINALISTS AND EXHIBITION DETAILS

  • 120 images will be printed and shown at the State Gallery of Art, India from July 6-14 2024.
  • Inclusion in the online exhibition catalog + exhibition certificate.

A round of applause for all 127 finalist photographers! We’re thrilled to announce the finalists for the Photographers for Social Change: International Exhibition 2024 in Hyderabad, India.

The exhibition will be held at the Chitramayee State Art Gallery, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, opening its doors on July 6th, 2024.

International Jury members

Nathalie Sayago

Nathalie Sayago, is a photojournalist and documentary photographer. Originally from Venezuela and based in NYC

Her work has been published in The New York Times,  Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Al Jazeera, Canada Broadcasting News, Dennik Slovakia among others. Nathalie’s work has been exhibited in Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Iran, and New York City.

Smita Sharma

Smita Sharma is Delhi based award winning photojournalist, visual storyteller and speaker who has documented social justice, sexual crimes, human trafficking and environmental issues in the Global South through long-form visual narratives.

Her work has been exhibited and shown globally. Her book We Cry In Silence documenting cross-border trafficking of underage girls in South Asia received the Award of Excellence at POY International and the 2023 Lucie Photo Book Prize in the Independent Category.

Nishat Fatima

Nishat Fatima is a journalist, photographer, and writer based in Hyderabad, India.

Over a career spanning almost 25 years, she has worked in multiple roles in the media and fashion industry. She is the author of three books:
Mumbai Marvels (2012); Suneet Varma (2013), and the novel Seriously, Sitara? (2013) published by Hachette India.

Flor Lopez

Flor Lopez from Guadalajara, Mexico, living in Ireland. Founding member of a photo community from Mexico.

She has been dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of digital and documentary photography for 15 years and has organized more than 40 exhibitions in Mexico and around the world. Also, she has been the communications coordinator of the 24hourproject since 2017.

Latife Baudet

Latife Baudet has been living in France since 19 years. Her photographic journey began in 2012.

Engaged in international festivals, organizing exhibitions throughout Paris, her photos have been presented in various exhibitions and published in prestigious photography magazines.

Axel Eckenberger

Axel Eckenberger is a street photographer based in Munich, Germany. He had been part of 24HourProject since 2018 and became the ambassador coordinator.

Axel enjoys shooting analogue and medium format. His work had been part of multiple exhibitions in New York City, Hamburg, Munich among others.

Renzo Grande

Renzo Grande is a humanitarian, photographer, speaker, and creative director focusing on human rights and social change.

Originally from Peru and currently based in New York City, Renzo is the founder of Photographers for Social Change. He has worked with multiple NGOs worldwide to highlight global issues and raise funds for their needs. Covering topics from children’s rights, and human trafficking to climate action.
